The Buddhism in Australia Survey is part of the “Buddhism in Australia: Belonging, Wellbeing and Social Engagement” research project which surveys Australians who are Buddhists or who engage with Buddhist values, ideas, or practices. It is the first nationwide survey of its kind, developed in consultation with monastic and lay Buddhist leaders, scholars, and First Nations knowledge holders, and administered as an online questionnaire in seven community languages. The survey covers broad areas including Buddhist practices, beliefs, values, forms of practice, social engagement, material practices, and Buddhist views on wellbeing and sense of belonging in Australian society.

About the Presenters
Andrew Singleton is Professor of Sociology and Social Research at the Deakin University School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Venerable Juewei is Associate Professor and Head of Program for Applied Buddhist Studies and Humanistic Buddhism, and Director of the Humanistic Buddhism Centre at Nan Tien Institute.
